Company History

Jack Hodson Ltd was founded by Jack Hodson in 1965 as an Auto Electrical Engineering workshop specialising in repairing and reconditioning heavy goods vehicles.

After the 1971 Liverpool Dock strike, the haulage business in the area never fully recovered and thus the business was gradually replaced with maintaining vehicles belonging to the general public along with Police fleets.

Eventually the fleet car maintenance work became very busy and in 2004 the decision was made to concentrate solely on Police vehicles.

As business grew we needed a larger site and in 2018 we re-located to our current production facility near Aintree Racecourse.

This new location as provided the opportunity to fulfil our potential and allow us the space for increased output, team growth and the installation of new technology.
